North Dakota's Badlands

Right now we are driving through the badlands of ND. Beautiful... it's almost like driving through the Grand Canyon.

Why do they call them he badlands? In the old days, it was a popular hiding place for robbers. An interesting bit of information that I just found out...

Another New State

North Dakota, that would be... the first time I have been here. We a concert every night for the rest of the week, so it will be a busy one!

South Dakota

Right now we arw driving to our second stop South Dakota. We should be there in the next thirty minutes or so. Last night we were in Gregory, SD and tonight we will be in Sioux Falls. It's my first time in South Dakota, so I've knocked another state off my list!

Top Of The World (Almost)

Hey everyone,

I am writing this post from 14,100
feet above sea level! I am currently on the top of Pikes Peak... it's a beautiful day up here and the leaders have the morning off, so we came up here. Quite cool! And I found some Turkey Hill Iced Tea at a local gas station this morning... a little taste of Lancaster County, all the way in Colorado!

We Made It

After seven hours on the road today, we made it to Littleton, Colorado, about 40 minutes ago. I forgot how much I love these mountains. The Rockies are nothing short of majestic!

On The Road Again

We are about two hours into our seven hour drive for today... all the way from Hastings, Nebraska to Littleton, Colorado!

Back In The Pool

Well, the storm has passed and the kids are back in the pool. I may get in here myself in a few minutes and take another dip.

Waterpark In Hastings, Nebraska

We are swimming and playing at Aquacourt, a nice city-owned waterpark in Hastings, NE. At least we were swimming and playing... right now we are waiting out a thunderstorm that is moving through the area. They are tellingus that it should be all clear soon, so hopefully we can get back in the pool in a few minutes from now.

Fourth Concert of the Day!

That's right... we are right now performing our fourth concert for today!

The kids are a little tired, their voices are wearing down, but we do not perform again until Wednesday, so they will get a much needed rest.

We are all staying at a hotel for the next two nights, so that will be a nice break.

Greetings From Omaha

Hey everyone,

I just set up my blog to do "mobile blogging." Basically what that means is that I can send a text message from my phone to my blog. So, what does that mean? It means that, hopefully, and I say hopefully, my blog will be updated more often. They will be shorter posts, but more frequent. Well, so much for that.

Right now, we are getting ready to do concert number two out of four for today! We are in Omaha, Nebraska now and will be in Hastings, Nebraska tonight.

July 4th was great... we got to be part of the Parade in Albert Lea, MN, on the 3rd, and then performed a concert there by Fountain Lake right after the parade. On the 4th, we went back to Albert Lea for fireworks over the Lake. Awesome!

Well, pastor is introducing us. Gotta go!
